Happy December!
I love this time of year! Florida is finally getting chilly. It’s like magic, over night people in hoodies show up soon as the first cool winter breeze hits South Florida. I love that I get a taste of winter without having to deal with all the negative side effects that come from it. No snow to remove from my car, no slipping on ice, no serious wind chill to have to deal with, but I do get to drink all the hot chocolate that I want till summer. I used to sometimes bring a large cup with my to class. The winter time is the only time you will probably ever see me carrying around a mug in the morning since I don’t drink coffee.
I love December and all that it brings. Everyone seems to be in a better mood around this time of year and everywhere you go, places are decorated in beautiful warm colors. Plus I love baking which is why having my own place is a huge plus, I get to bake a ton of cookies! Yes! Growing up, my mom and I would spend hours baking cookies and holiday breads to give to the neighbors, friends, and the marines stationed at the embassy.
I’ve already had two cups of hot chocolate since midnight and now I’m off to go wash all my hoodies since it decided to start getting into the 60′s the last few days. Next thing on the list is the Christmas tree this weekend. I cannot wait to go home for Christmas and spend it with my mom!
