A much needed Disney weekend vacation is coming this weekend thanks to the Office of Student Involvement. I have been looking forward to this trip for some time now and cant believe it is only a few days away!
I havent been to Disney World since last presidents weekend so I am looking forward to going to all 4 Parks, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
Students had the opportunity to buy there ticket for only $200, which included round trip transportation, hotel, which we are staying at Disney’s All Star Resorts.
I know I am excited to go away this weekend, what will you be doing this Presidents Weekend!
Look out for some fun and exciting photos of the trip in the upcoming blogposts!
There are many things that Lynn University has to offer. One of those things is the Office of Student Involvement. I am an office assistant for OSI. OSI is one of the best places I think to work on campus! Why, because its offices are located on the 2nd floor of the Student Center in Knights Court so it is very student oriented so there is never a boring moment.
One of the main reasons why I love working in OSI is because the Staff there is amazing! The Office of Student Involvement staff consists of Dawn Simounet who is in charge of Leadership, Annie Weaver who is in charge of Greek Life and Civic Engagement and Jared Morrison who is in charge of Programming. Office of Student Involvement plans great activities for students.
I originally started working there I believe my second semester of my sophomore when we were at the information station but then my second semester of junior year we had moved up to the office! Some of the things that you do for the Office of Student Involvement are advertising one of the major things is posters. One of the recent things I advertised for was when OSI hosted a premier episode viewing for the X-Factor show on FOX where they gave free giveaways! Also the napkin holders you see in the caf, some of those are designed and made by me!
Working in OSI definitely has its advantages, because you get to know all the major events at first hand. One major trip OSI has coming up is Halloween Horror Nights, which is October 8th! I am so excited but sad at the same time because I love horror nights but being a senior this will be my last horror nights trip with the school going since freshman year except last year I went with some friends for my friends birthday. Look forward to seeing some pictures in a future post!
If you are work- study eligible I highly suggest working for the Office of Student Involvement because it is awesome and the staff is amazing! I am going to miss it when I graduate! Hope you all enjoyed reading!
