Someone pay attention and tell me if they see any pigs flying…
Two absolutely impossible things happened today! Number one: Aly walked UP the stairs. I don’t know if I would have believed it if I hadn’t seen it myself. She never takes the stairs! Number two: Aly OPENED a window in our room. Bugs, especially mosquitos, love Aly to death, so she never opens the window for fear that they will decide to live here, too.
Today must be the day for miracles!

Superbowl last night. Can I just say wow?
First of all: the cable on the entire campus went out. Is that not ironic? Just when half the people on campus need it, it’s no longer there. Everyone ended up watching the game in the Knight’s Court, which has one satellite tv, fortunately. There really weren’t enough seats. I sat on the floor and many people stood for the entire game. I honestly don’t think that was important to them, though. I could tell this game wa important when people were RUNNING across campus so they wouldn’t miss kick off. As Brittany and I were coming down the stairs (walking at a leisurely pace), some guy comes bolting down them, up a floor from us, and catches up because he’s trying to get to the Knight’s Court. As soon as Brittany and I made it to the bottom of the stairs, we stood aside and let him run. He thanked us, which was nice, but we just thought it was so hilarious. We really wished we had our cameras out at the time.
Second of all: the Patriots lost. Most of my friends (and not to mention my grandmother) are huge Patriots fans, so it was not a good night. I was going for the Patriots, too, but mostly because my grandmother was going for them. I’m not any sort of hardcore fan. I wasn’t upset that they lost, but I know people who were absolutely devastated about it. A lot of Pats fans in the Knight’s Court left the game early, my friends included, because they just couldn’t stand to see that last second of the Pats’ loss. I can only hope they push this to the backs of their minds for a while and forget about it, though that doesn’t seem likely.
