My Early Thoughts on Our Team
Ok, so after watching pickup on Monday and spending time with some of the guys, I like the make-up of this team. Not only did our coaches do a great job of getting good players, but also players with great character. They have all come in ready to be apart of the team and without giving the sense that they feel like they are already at the top of the mountain. They will talk to anybody and make you want them to succeed.
In pick-up, everyone of the guys is playing hard and going right at one another. They are not backing down from anybody, from the scholarship senior all the way down to walk-on freshman. Our guards have no problem going against our bigs and vice-versa. Pick-up is just a joy to watch right now. I feel like this group is going to buy in 100% to Coach McMillin. There are some of the freshmen who I see huge potential in. I feel that not only this year, but in the coming years we are going to be at the level we were a couple years ago when we were going to Final Fours and winning titles.
Right now we are also in the middle of our search for managers. We have hired one, but need 1 or 2 more. We are looking for our next head manager. If anybody out there reading this goes to Lynn and is interested leave me a comment and I’ll get back to you.
