Are You Going on a ‘Staycation’?
The lazy, hazy days of summer are upon us and that means enjoying the summer hours Lynn so generously affords us hard-working staff. And of course, many of us will be taking some much-needed vacation time. Recently I read in an article in the Sun-Sentinel that because of the economy, especially gas prices, many of us who would normally be globe-trotting and galavanting around the country or overseas are staying home – and it was dubbed a ‘staycation.’
So, I got to thinking and wondering if that was true. I know many students are on study tours, and faculty are reading up and planning for the fall semester’s new CORE curriculum. I, personally, am heading to the Northeast next week for my son’s wedding. No way I would miss that! So, what are your plans this summer?
