Tribute to Dean Levine & Lunch with Laura

by Laura | March 27, 2009

Today we found out that a very good friend of the University – and one of my role models – Irving R. Levine died at the age of 86. For those of you who didn’t know him, Dean Levine was Dean Emeritus of Lynn’s College of International Communication and a world-renowned broadcast journalist. I’m not sure if he was most famous for being the first reporter on any network to cover the economy full-time or for always wearing a bow tie :) . Either way, he was an awesome guy. In fact, I’m lucky enough to be able to say that Dean Levine spoke at my graduation last year (and yes – I have it on tape!) Read more about Dean Levine on www.lynn.edu under “University News.”

In other news, Mohamed Abdalla was named Lynn’s 2009-10 SGA President yesterday. So, I decided to take Mohamed to lunch today for the first edition of “Lunch with Laura.” What is “Lunch with Laura”? Well, basically it’s a really short interview that I’m going to do every other week. I buy you lunch, and you answer a few questions on tape for me. Fair deal? I think so :) If you’re interested, let me know. I’d love to have lunch with you!! Without further ado. Here’s Mohamed:
