Recognizing the Recognition Breakfast

by Debbie | April 15, 2009

Lynn staff and faculty formally get together only a few times a year, but whenever I attend one of these events, I’m always struck by the size and scope of the diverse group of dedicated people that gather in the room. Today’s faculty and staff recognition breakfast reinforced that feeling. As the names were called to recognize years served, it deserves a mention in these “challenging” economic times, that we are truly blessed to not just be employed (which in this day and age is a blessing in and of itself), but to work at a place that clearly values and embraces its employees.

Reassuring words from President Kevin Ross, employees’ whoops and cheers of support for their fellow employees, recognition of those who have gone the “extra step,” and the sheer volume of people receiving their years of service certificates – for 5, 10, 15, 20 years and beyond – all serve as good reminders that Lynn is indeed a very good place to be.
