Networking at ISpa

A buffet of delicious, scrumptious foods was presented to us when we entered the First Time Attendee Welcome Session; not only that, but another bag full of spa products and other goodies. Before the presenters began they pointed out the puzzle stress balls laid out on the tables. An awesome opportunity to network, the facilitator asked us to stand up and find someone to connect our puzzle pieces with.

The first person I connected with was the lead esthetician from an Arizona based spa. She had been involved in the spa industry for over 10 years and had a lot to share with me concerning the industry and the future of it. The second person I connected with was a Spa Director of a spa based out of Colorado. She was miraculously surprised that Lynn University had a Spa Concentration as part of its Hospitality Management program. She continued to become interested in our Spa Cuisine course. I exchanged my business cards with both of them. You never know when these individuals may be able to help you in the future.
