Boston Gets Hit With Snow and My Flight Home…
Like I mentioned last night, I changed my original flight departure out of Fort Lauderdale from 8pm to 730am. I woke up this morning at 4:30am to call Delta to check on my flight, “DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS IN BOSTON: FLIGHT CANCELED”. It was disappointing, but at the same time I had just fallen asleep at 2am. I changed my flight to the 12:40pm and went back to bed.
I woke up at 10:30am and to no surprise….”DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS IN BOSTON: FLIGHT CANCELED”. Where did this put me, back to my original flight. I was already packed because I had stayed up so late after the conference. I usually pack really heavy, but for some reason I filled just one suitcase. I think it was because I planned on getting stuff for Christmas.
I took this time to go see Kristie, my Residence Director, who was packing and leaving this semester to go to New Jersey. I really did want to say goodbye, but it is always easier for me to say “hello” instead of goodbye. My emotions were stable until I left the room.
I packed up everything in my car to go to Lynette’s house in Miami where Karina and Lynette were. Lynette offered to take me to the airport. Her mom made the most amazing, scrumptious pasta dinner. I hadn’t eaten anything all day long so this was perfect.
On my way to airport….we will see what happens.
