SGA Meets Early Morning
I am not doing so well with these morning classes especially when SGA plans a meeting even earlier than my morning class. I had to be up at 7:30am this morning. It was a challenge. I didn’t get to sleep until 2am and I have been going non-stop since the first day of school. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I have class at 9am. Tuesday and Thursday I have class at 9:30am. This is tough considering last semester my earliest class was 2pm.
Anyways, we reviewed the SGA constitution this morning. Besides the e-board we had the special privilege of having the judiciary committee to provide additional feedback and suggestions to the improvement of the constitution. We had only 1 (one) hour and we only go through to section two. As of right now we have decided to remove Knights’ Activities Team Chair (KAT) from the SGA constitution. After further research, only one other university in Florida has a programming chair sit on SGA. I made the suggestion for a programming committee. As the current KAT chair, I felt as though my role on SGA was not necessary. I really just have special speaking privileges at the SGA meetings.
We further went on to discuss the role of the Residence Hall Association (RHA) Chair on SGA. This was another topic I brought up for discussion, but I ended up “tabling†it to the next meeting to do further research.
At the end of the meeting I thought we would create another meeting time that was more appealing to evening schedules, but instead we are meeting for the next 4-6 weeks on Wednesday mornings at 8am. RISE AND SHINE… ugh
