Dinner with T-JohnE While Fooling April is on Campus

T-John E, one of the agencies we work with that brought ThinkFast, Tron System, and X-Treme Air to campus, invited all of us to dinner. It was a great opportunity to put a face to an email for once, but when we started looking at the menus my stomach began to twitch.

While we were at APCA, back on campus KAT was having a Java Jam at 8pm. This Java Jam was a little different that usually. Band equipment had been ordered from Zebedee Productions. Not being on campus for my event gave me butterflies in my stomach. I left Taryn and Jen in charge of the Java Jam and I had full faith in their ability to make it happen, but I couldn’t make my stomach settle.

I discovered that I have a passion for events and planning programs. I love it. From start to finish, I embrace every moment of it with a desire to bring successful programs to campus. Being worried and nervous over a program of KAT and me not being there I find completely normal. It really shows I care and that I want to ensure that the people I left behind to run the event have all the tools and resources needed.

The pictures and text messages were a great reassurance that I have members of KAT that care as much as I do. To see Jen, Director of Student Involvement on the floor of her office using a hammer to put something together for the event truly exemplifies the role of an outstanding, dedicated adviser. Mark and Jen have been a tremendous resource and are continuously providing support to KAT and I.
