My Knightlife

Oklahoma State University kicks off the weekend. A weekend of pure fun, excitement, friendship, and leadership. This was one of my favorite weekends this whole academic year. It was my second NACURH conference, but this time I was representing SAACURH as Director. As part of the National Board of Directors we reviewed RHA Building Block, Program of the Year, and School of the Year. Both of the National Offices: NACURH Information Center and National Services and Recognition Office were up for bid. Seeing this bid presentations were amazing.

I was really able to become closer with the NBD and other students in our region. Ron and I spent the whole weekend together. As described by Jay Dixon, our National Chair, “they are the dynamic duo.” He further went on to explain, that WE had brought back the pride of NACURH. My region thought it was hysterical to make up a song chanting my name like: Joey Joey Joey—Mac Mac Mac. The region was very supportive of us and their enthusiasm and spirit was evident.
