Boca Raton Library on Spanish River
So once I got to college I never thought I would go to a library off-campus every again. All the resources are at the tip of your finger at the University library. Little did I know, the secrets behind Boca Raton’s newest library on Spanish River.
After hearing rave reviews from my RD, Joy Doliber, I had to check out this library. There is so much to offer. Where can you rent out:
- TV on DVD (That’s right. I rented out Lost: Season 1 and Prison Break: Season 1 and 2. FREE)
- New Release DVDs only $2.00
- Music CDs…Itunes is great, but the collection here is enormous.
- The newest versions of: GMAT, LSAT, GRE, CLEP and other study guides.
Live on campus? Have you tried to get a library card and you are denied? All you have to do is ask for Residence Director to write you a letter stating you are a residential student and under a housing contract at Lynn University until May 2009. So easy and so beneficial…I know…you think I’m a nerd, but hey its neat.

That’s great! I am definitely going to make a library trip! And it’s so close to campus, one can walk there!
I love the Lynn Library and the fact that there are so many electronic sources available, but it is nice to switch it up a bit too!
I also hear that there is a great, inexpensive little restaurant/coffee shop at the library over looking the lake?
Yeah….its awesome. It’s great place to go when you want to relax, maybe a different atmosphere, or just get off campus for a bit…
I went to the this new library the other day for the first time. Of course it cost 46 000 000 or so . And of course most of the cost born by the non resident house owning taxpayer, but why should anyone care. It is huge two or three story main room.. i talked to the very very helpful people there and looked around . But then the key question. Where are all the books. Thats all we have right there. we have meeting rooms and couch rooms and chair rooms but nooooo eating or drinking in them. so a 46 000 000 dollar library without books . The second hand book store on spanish river has more books. The selection has more depth . This is truly a library that had to have been organized by a committee . This libary is a disgrace.
NO BOOKS?!? The library has a ton of books (I actually have 3 due tomorrow on varying subjects). The library has a card catalog as well if you know of a book they don’t have I am sure the very very helpful people who work there would help you out. The other library bookstore is very cool but the Spanish River library is conveniently located for Lynn students. Up to you where you want to rent your library materials from but the Spanish River library is a great new resource, community center, and I often find myself lost in a book on their gorgeous patio.
It is very sad that over 1200 people who live less than five minutes from this library CANNOT USE IT, as they are considered “Palm Beach County: residents, and are not within the boundary lines 0f Boca Raton. Can’t something be done about this???????
