My Knightlife

The morning business began with elections this morning for National Chair, National Associate for Administration, National Associate for Finance, and National Associate for NRHH and Special Initiatives. Our Regional Director, E.J. Walicki is running for National Chair and I am running for National Associate for Finance. I am not too nervous considering I have held the position as the finance officer for our region for the past two years, but this position would be controlling finances for the nation.

We just finished all of the elections. It didn’t take as long as last year, but we didn’t have as many controversial discussions. Questions asked for each candidate had to be the same this year, as opposed to last year, when any questions could be asked. My presentation was descent I thought. I didn’t cover everything I was planning on covering, but I believe that I talked about most of the stuff pertenant to the position as NAF. My theme of my bid was NACURH Ritz Carlton with an emphasis on providing service to all our member schools within NACURH.

Results were pretty amazing…for the past two years I have served as the finance officer under E.J., and 2009-2010 will be yet another year. I was elected as National Associate for Finance and E.J. was elected National Chair. I am not sure where I will be attending graduate school, but being continuously involved with NACURH another year will be a lot of fun and another learning experience on a leadership level.

Finally I am able to relax throughout the rest of this boardroom….
