A bittersweet moment…
Hello my dear blog readers!
So I have had some bittersweet moments this last week. Let me explain. I’m in my third year here at Lynn, but in the Spring semester of my freshman year I was sent a letter. This letter explained that Lynn was creating a brand new program and I was invited to apply for a position in it. This new program was called Lynn 3.0 or simply the 3.o Program. You had to get a letter in order to apply for the program. If you decide to apply you must write a couple of essays and get some letters of recommendations as well. After being accepted into the program, you take some classes over the summer and after that you are suppose to take 6 classes the rest of your time here at Lynn.
Anyway, point being I got into the program and am now graduating this month (December) a year and a half before my class is. It’s been a lot of hard work taking 3 courses over the summer and then 6 courses for the last three semesters. It’s been stressful, but I must say for me personally it was worth it. I got to meet some great people who are also in the program and even had the chance to study abroad during this previous summer. It has been a wonderful experience the last 2 and half years here – making some great friends, a wonderful roommate for the duration of my time here and getting some amazing professor too.
So, as my blog title says this is bittersweet for me. Like I said, I am finishing in a shorter amount of time than I ever thought I would complete college. I will know have my degree in Communication and a minor in Advertising. I am proud of myself for getting through all the tough work and stress it took to get to this point, but it truly is bittersweet.
I am leaving the place that I have called home for the last almost 3 years. I am leaving a great roommate who has become one of my best friends. I am leaving my boyfriend and my friends who I love dearly. Finally, I am leaving a place where I learned so much from my professors and the place where I have know earned my degree. It’s sad because I am now seeing how much everything has meant to me. Everything is pretty much packed up. All I will have left come Tuesday will be my bedding and my suitcase.
However, I know it’s all so bittersweet, but I will be in Florida for a while longer so I must come back and visit everyone here at Lynn. There is no way I won’t come back and visit. This blog is really just a way to tell you all that I will be back – no worries about that! And of course this is NOT my last blog
