Ask away

June 30th, 2008 at 10:58 am by Ashlea

I recently posted a blog giving you the opportunity to ask me questions about any aspect of Lynn University or what it is like being a college student.
I had a great response, and thought I would open up the forum to you once again. If there are any questions that you may have lurking in your mind, post them in the ‘comment box’ below the post (you will see a link that says ‘comment’. Click on there, post your question, and I’ll check them daily and post a blog answering your question… so remember to check back!).

Additionally, if there is something at Lynn University you’d like to see, for example a dorm room, the fitness center, or the library, just post that in a comment and I will personally take a photo of it and post it.

So, the forum is now all yours… ask away!

Let me answer it.

Type your question into the comment box, and I’ll post the answer.

It’s a great way for me to give you a student’s perspective, and for you to get those questions answered.

Have you any unanswered questions?
Such as,
Why you should choose Lynn University
Does the cafeteria food suck?
How many courses should I be taking?
Who were your favorite professors at Lynn?
Where did you go and party with friends?

Whatever your question may be, ask away, and I’ll post an answer.

You can leave your question in the comment box of this post and I’ll answer it as soon as possible.

The Blog Squad

April 29th, 2008 at 10:32 am by Ashlea

When I first agreed to become a Lynn blogger, I never ever thought that one day I would be the administrator of the Blog Squad, neither did I have any idea of how successful the blogs would be. Yesterday evening, the Blog Squad and two new bloggers we will be bringing on next semester and over the summer, congregated for a pizza evening.

Every meeting we discuss if everyone is still enjoying blogging and whether they would like to continue (every one said yes) and we also discuss video posts and photo posts. Generally, we update each other on what is new in our lives and what our plans are for the break. I also hand out a statistical rundown of each blog, which shows the amount of views our pages have, where in the world those viewers are from etc. This is always very rewarding.

Mostly, yesterday, when I looked around our meeting, at every one laughing and talking, catching up and having fun, I began to realize that the one thing I least expected from becoming a Lynn blogger would be that I would make such wonderful friends. When I gazed at the group, it dawned on me that the Blog Squad is more than just a group of students with their blogs in common, we’re much more than that. We’re more than friends. We all read each other’s blog posts, we are all up to date on what has happened in each other’s lives, and we all care about one another.

As Gene said, if you don’t try something, you won’t know what you could have possibly achieved from it. And he’s absolutely right. I never imagined that becoming a blogger would not only unite students, but also spark friendships.

Thank you

November 14th, 2007 at 9:37 am by Ashlea

In the last few weeks, many people have approached me and told me that they read my blog.

Every one from parents on the campus tours I give (yes, I am a campus tour guide)
and even teachers and students.

I would just like to send a special thank you to Ellen, who I am told regularly reads my blog
to ease the stress of her bathroom alterations. I hope you have a great day!
